I am so glad you have found your way to 1065 The Wolf. My journey to The Wolf began a long time ago when I landed my first radio job while still in high school. I grew up in a small town of just 1000 people but down the road was an AM country station and a Top 40 FM station. After a game, my high school basketball team bus would drop me off at the station so I could work a shift. I loved it then and still do today. Legend has it that I did my first live shift at the nursery the day after I was born.
The one thing that rivals my love for playing music is hearing a great sounding voice talent doing a concert or promotional announcement. If you catch me driving down the street you will probably hear a great commercial blasting from my car announcing that some group is coming to Kemper Arena or Sandstone. If you are a radio geek you understand what I am talking about.
If I am not at The Wolf you will find me out at Kaufman Stadium cheering on the Royals or I am looking for ways to give back. I support KC Pet Project with their mission of helping homeless pets find their forever home and I have also been known to jump on a plane to India or Uganda with One Global Village to document their medical mission work by taking photos and blogging for their website and social media outlets. I learned early in my life that it only takes one small act to change the life of someone you barely know.
I appreciate you listening. We will play some great music, keep you up to date on what is happening in this great city all while having a lot of fun.
