CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — As the Bears closed out their season Sunday, a new virtual tour from Landmark Development explored a reimagined Soldier Field.

The video rendering showed Landmark’s proposal for a renovated Soldier Field — including increased seating, immersive fan experiences, quadrupled food and beverage amenities, expanded veterans memorial and a translucent dome — and also improved access with a multi-modal transit hub.

The proposed pedestrian-oriented transit hub, which would be protected from the elements, featured a merged CTA, Metra, Amtrak, and a new “Chi-Line” downtown circulator.

Landmark’s vision for Soldier Field also showcased a dynamic, year-round entertainment district with interactive experiences focused on sports, museums, food, music, arts and live entertainment.

Over the past year, the Bears have continued progressing toward an eventual move to Arlington Heights.
