The Memphis Grizzlies couldn’t keep pace with the Minnesota Timberwolves in a 131–114 defeat at FedExForum, as Minnesota’s efficient offense and hot shooting proved too much to overcome. The Wolves shot 53% from the field and 49% in the first half, while hitting 18 three-pointers overall, building a lead that Memphis never fully erased.

Minnesota led wire-to-wire, outscoring Memphis in every quarter and forcing the Grizzlies into a catch-up role throughout. Anthony Edwards and company consistently hurt Memphis both inside and from deep, keeping the deficit in double figures for much of the night.

For Memphis, Ty Jerome scored 20 points with six assists in his season debut, and GG Jackson added 19 off the bench, but the Grizzlies struggled to contain Minnesota’s scoring bursts. The highlight of the night for the Memphis Grizzlies was definitely Jerome's debut.

Next game: Monday (2/2) at 6:30 p.m. vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves again (pregame at 6:00 p.m.) live on 92.9 FM ESPN
