The Atlanta Braves are in the midst of their longest winning streak since the team won 14 games in 2013. But some fans are looking for excuses as to why the team got hot.

"This is the kind of offense that you don't see too often," says McCauley. "You look at the win streaks, these things don't happen and some folks will point at the schedule, 'well, good teams are supposed to beat bad teams,' and the fact that you're beating them every single night, that's something that not everybody is able to do.
"This is the longest win streak in Major League Baseball this year, it happens about once every decade," describes McCauley. "And it's exactly what the club needed to get back in the NL East race."
The Braves' franchise record (post 1900) is 15 wins, which they accomplished back in 2000. The 1891 Boston Beaneaters did win 18 straight.
