A recent ranking of the Top 100 NFL Players heading into the 2023 season had a scarce Atlanta Falcons' presence. Only two players, Grady Jarrett and Chris Lindstrom, made the list, none cracked the Top 50. One Falcon that was listed as an honorable mention was star corner, AJ Terrell.
After an elite level season from Terrell in 2021 where he notched 3 interceptions and 16 pass deflections, his 2022 season was considered by most to be "lack-luster." Can Terrell return to form and retake his spot on this list and even crack the Top 50?
AJ Terrell is one of the few returning starters for this Falcons' secondary after adding Jessie Bates, Jeff Okudah, and Clark Phillips III through free agency and the draft. With more talent around him, Terrell should have plenty of opportunities to showcase his abilities.
Host of the "Abe-T-L Show," Abe Gordon asked the question, "Was that year (2021) a random break out year for Terrell?" One would assume that sustaining an entire season's worth of play that drew comparisons to Jalen Ramsey is not a fluke. AJ Terrell has "elite, best corner in the NFL" type potential, and if that potential is reached, Terrell will be cracking the Top 50 in no time.
