PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Pitt Head Coach Pat Narduzzi said it will be a game-time decision as to who starts for him at quarterback Saturday night at Western Michigan.

Kedon Slovis started the first two games but didn’t return after halftime of the game against Tennessee with an apparent concussion.  He is in the mix to be available Saturday.  The transfer from USC is 30 of 48 for 503 yards with two touchdowns and an interception with the Panthers this season.  The interception occurring on the play he was injured.

Back-up Nick Patti is suffering from an undisclosed lower-body injury and is not expected to be available.

Pitt is still undecided on a third-string quarterback between redshirt freshman Nate Yarnell and Derek Kyler.  The 6’6” Austin, Texas native, Yarnell has never thrown a college pass.  The Dartmouth graduate transfer, 6’0 Kyler, an Illinois native, set an Ivy League record for completion percentage, 69.3, along with throwing 42 touchdowns to six interceptions.

Listen to Saturday’s game on 93.7 The Fan with pregame beginning at 4:30p and kickoff at 7:30p in Kalamazoo.
