PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Three other times Sidney Crosby has come back from extended time away to return in season. He’s had a point in every game and the team is 3-0 in his return. If you include him joining late into a season, the Pens are 4-0 in his return from a lengthy absence.
All of that will be tested tonight as the Pens haven’t won at Carolina since December 22, 2018--a 3-0 win in which Crosby had three assists.
Crosby has been out since the Olympic break after a knee injury suffered while playing for Team Canada. The Pens captain’s last goal was January 22 in a 6-2 win at Edmonton and his last assists was February 3 in a 5-4 overtime loss at the Islanders.
