According to a report, the Chicago Bears have requested an interview with current Steelers Vice President Omar Khan.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter says the Bears are interested in interviewing the vice president of football and business administration for their vacant general manager position after Chicago fired Ryan Pace after the season.
Khan has been with the Steelers since 2001 and former Steelers executive and former Bills general manager Doug Whaley says that he thinks the Steelers will grant Khan permission to interview for the position.
“What do you want, do you want a traditional scout GM to lead your team or do you want more of that cap/business guy to lead your team,” said Whaley.
Khan is known as a cap/business guy with current Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert more of a scout type GM.
Whaley says that the only way the Steelers don’t grant permission is if the Steelers have a plan for him.
It has been rumored that Colbert will step down after this year’s draft, but nothing solid has been reported.
Schefter also reports that the Bears have asked to also interview the Patriots director of scouting Eliot Wolf for the general manager job.
