PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Second in the NFL in touchdown passes and top five in passing yards, the Buffalo Bills will now face a Steelers secondary without two starters.

Mike Tomlin announced on Tuesday that corner Ahkello Witherspoon would not play, Saturday afternoon the team announced safety Terrell Edmunds wouldn’t go due to a concussion suffered late against the Jets.

The 25-year-old Edmunds has started 64 career NFL games.  He had 13 tackles and a pass defended in four games this season.  Edmunds was second on the team with four solo tackles against the Bills last season.

Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick is expected to play but dealing with a knee injury.  Starting corner Cam Sutton says he will go Sunday but has hamstring and groin injuries and corner Levi Wallace is dealing with a foot injury.

Steelers promoted 6’ corner Josh Jackson (active against the Jets, 15 NFL starts-10 with Green Bay as a rookie in 2018. Jackson played 32 games with Green Bay and two with the Chiefs last year) and 6’ safety Elijah Riley (seven starts with the Jets last year with 45 tackles) from the practice squad.  They also signed outside linebacker Ryan Anderson to the 53-man roster.  Anderson was promoted from the practice squad last week and played five defensive snaps.  Steelers released linebacker David Anenih.
