Joel Embiid will give it a go in game four against the Raptors, as the 76ers go for a sweep, but he won’t be at 100 percent due to ligament damage in his thumb.

Asked about his star’s injury before game four on Saturday, head coach Doc Rivers kept it blunt.

“I feel like it’s not a great injury,” Rivers said, via the Philadelphia Inquirer. “I’ll leave it at that”

On the brighter side, Rivers did say that the team knows it can’t get worse by continuing to play, so Embiid’s availability will be determined by how much discomfort he can handle and how efficient he can still be despite the injury. Rivers admitted “there’s concern” about Embiid’s thumb, and he will likely get an MRI when the team returns to Philadelphia, either after finishing off a first-round sweep or to prepare for a game five.
