Immediately following the Philadelphia 76ers' home win over the Chicago Bulls on Monday night, James Harden was spotted running the stairs at the Wells Fargo Center.
Harden said he had to get a workout in after the game.
The skeptics will say it is for the cameras, while the fans will say it is his new championship, energetic attitude.
While Harden is certainly aware of the cameras and social media impact, Sixers president Daryl Morey recently said on the Rights To Ricky Sanchez podcast that Harden isn't on social media.
With Harden on the floor, the Sixers improved to 5-0 on Monday, beating the Bulls 121-106. They are averaging 125.4 points per game with Harden in the lineup (h/t Jack Fritz). While it is a small sample size, for context, the Timberwolves lead the NBA in scoring at 114.4 points per game for the season.
Harden did not shoot well on Monday night (5-15 FG, 1-5 3FG), but still finished with 16 points, 14 assists, and eight rebounds, continuously flirting with a triple-double every game.
MVP frontrunner Joel Embiid finished with 43 points on 15-27 FG and 12-16 FT to go along with 14 boards and three blocks in a dominating effort once again.
The Sixers are now 40-24, three games back of the Miami Heat for the top spot in the East and one half game ahead of the Milwaukee Bucks for the two seed.
