Joe DeCamara has taken a stand on Monday's 94WIP Morning Show stating, albeit without extreme confidence, that he believes the Philadelphia 76ers will reach the NBA Finals.
"Sixers are going to the Finals," DeCamara said on Monday morning. "Might be, might be, might be the dumbest thing I've said on the now close to two months on the Morning Show. But I'll tell you this, I'm going to ride with [Joel] Embiid this Spring. Look, it's a three-team race in the East...The Bucks have the easiest road because they only have to win one tough series.
"They are an imperfect team, there's no question about it, but so are the other two teams. Those are two teams have shown more heart than the Sixers, but those other two teams have also stubbed their toes plenty of times in the postseason before they broke through to a certain an extent. I just have a gut feeling Jon. I think the bench is better, I think Embiid is..."
Later in the show, DeCamara admitted he isn't overly confident in his prediction.
"I don't say it with the greatest conviction, I just want to put that out there," DeCamara said. "If you could have a three way coin flip, that's what I think we've got here."
The last time the Sixers won 54 regular games and had the regular season MVP, which Embiid is extremely likely to win, was 2000-01...the last time they reached the NBA Finals.
