Joe Giglio does not believe the Sixers would have beaten the Celtics in Game 1 if Joel Embiid fought through his knee injury and played in the game.
"I don't believe they would have won that game last night if Joel Embiid played hobbled," Giglio said on Tuesday's 94WIP Midday Show with Hugh Douglas. "They, last night, played as a unit. It wasn't one guy. Joel had five turnovers per game last series. Five. They had eight as a team last night. I know he's a great player and obviously if Joel is one hundred percent it's a different story, but they would not have won last night if he tried to gut it through and play.
"Offensively, I don't know how they could have been better than they were last night. They scored 119. Harden wouldn't have had 45 if Embiid was out there...They're now 13-5 without Embiid this year. Like Doc [Rivers] said, they found a way."
