Should the Sixers consider acquiring Zion Williamson?

The Zion Williamson trade rumors are apparently real, as The Ringer's Bill Simmons reports someone that he trusts told him that Williamson will not be on the New Orleans Pelicans by Thursday, the day of the 2023 NBA Draft.

Williamson, 22, was the first overall pick of the Pelicans in 2019, but the talented phenom has failed to stay healthy early in his NBA career playing in just 114 of 246 games over three seasons.

When healthy, however, Williamson has been excellent averaging 25.8 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists on 60.5-percent shooting from the field. His upside is obviously enamoring for fan bases across the NBA.

94WIP's Eliot Shorr-Parks and Ike Reese debated the merits of a potential Tobias Harris for Williamson trade Monday on Twitter.

Williamson has a $33.5 million cap hit in 2023, as he signed a five-year rookie extension worth $193 million guaranteed.

Harris, 30, is in the final year of his max contract, set to carry a 2023 cap hit of $39.3 million.

"I do think plan A is James Harden," Sixers reporter Kyle Neubeck told the 94WIP Morning Show on Monday.
