Eagles fans are angry. The team is 1-2 coming off an embarrassing Monday night loss in Dallas and head coach Nick Sirianni is taking a ton of the blame.

Sirianni had to deal with Angelo Cataldi on Wednesday and Cataldi did not hold back.

"Yea we're pissed, we're pissed also," Sirianni said at the beginning of the interview with Cataldi. "We got back late to Philadelphia. Got a little bit of sleep, then got everything going to fix all of the problems we have."

Angelo: I can tell you what the fans want fixed first, it's your play calling.

"The way the game went, where you get the first three games of the play—we obviously had the third play had a turnover. You had an explosive pass on the first play to Dallas [Goedert] for 38 yards, I think that's what it was. The second play was a run call, but a lot of our run calls our RPO [read-pass options]. That's just what we feel like is successful for our offense, and what we want to use in our offense, and what we've used the past in our offense...Some situational football dictates how you're going to call the game. You get backed up and we threw the ball. And once we got the ball back we were in a little bit of a hole. Hey, do I want to run the ball more? Absolutely. And again, that's my job to get that fixed. Some it is situational football, some if it is my play calling. I got to get more runs called."

Angelo: How about using top draft picks vs. other players. Do you get any input there? There's always this tendency for a team to want to play their number one picks and have them pan out. We're watching Derek Barnett, we saw your frustration with Derek Barnett. At one point you said, 'It's always him,' when there was a penalty against him. Are you at a point where if he doesn't fix that you're going to play him less?

"As far as your question on the draft picks, we got to play the guys that we think give us the best chance to win. At the end of the day, whether what plays I call, whether who I play, like all that matters is that we win. Period. And so, I got to do everything I got to do to help this team win. Once you get on this football team. It is not about draft pick status...At the end of the day, me and you are having this conversation, the only thing I get judged on is wins and losses, period."

Angelo: Watkins makes two really great plays, one is an incredible play, and Reagor gets targeted eight times and Watkins get targeted two. And if what you're saying is true, then you're telling us you think have a better chance to win with Reagor getting that many touches that Watkins, because we're not seeing that at all.

"Sure, Quez played really well. And Quez continues to make plays in contested areas. I would say for this, they're both practicing well. I was realy pleased with Jalen Reagor these past three weeks in practice...There's no doubt in my mind he's improving every single game. Of the eight targets that he had I believe he had five catches on those eight targets and one explosives play. Do we need to use Quez more? I mean yeah. Quez is showing us that he is valuable and he makes a lot of plays, but that doesn't diminish of what I think of the other receivers as well."

Cataldi continues to ask Sirianni about the defense, specifically the lack of "statistical production" from Fletcher Cox and Ryan Kerrigan. Sirianni explains that Javon Hargraves success has a lot to do with Cox, and once teams begin to game plan for Hargraves, Cox will have some big games.

Things to do get easier for the 1-2 Eagles, as they face the Chiefs next.
