That was the Eagles' worst half of football all season long and the fans let them know.
The Eagles trail 13-0 at half and recorded their first first-down with just 12 seconds to go in the half. In five drive, the Eagles went three-and-out four times.
Gardner Minshew finished the first half 6-10 with 70 yards, while 25 of them came on the half's final play—a meaningless catch and run by DeVonta Smith. Unbelievably, though, Smitty came up limping after the play. Minshew was also sacked five times. Miles Sanders has just nine yards on two carries.
The time of possession is currently 22:50 to 7:10, in favor of the Saints.
The fans booed the Eagles throughout the first half at the Linc.
Philadelphia, facing a New Orleans Saints team in a must-win situation, entered Sunday's home game with an opportunity to clinch the No. 1 overall seed in the NFC with a win and also improve their 2023 first-round draft pick, as they own New Orleans' pick.
To make matters worse, already without Jalen Hurts and Lane Johnson on offense, defensive end Josh Sweat was carted off and transported to a local hospital with a neck injury.
Hopefully, the Eagles can turn things around in the second half.
