After 17 practices, three preseason games and an entire offseason of work, it is time to make final cuts.
The Eagles must be down to a 53-player roster by Tuesday at 4 p.m., meaning they have around 18 cuts to make today.
Some things to remember during cutdown day:
** Vested veterans are not subject to waivers (i.e. a player like Richard Rodgers can be released, then re-signed in a few days without going through waivers).
** If a player is placed on injured reserve before 4 p.m. their season is over
** If a player is on the 53-man roster, and then placed on injured reserve, they are eligible to return
** The Eagles have no players eligible to be placed on PUP now that Landon Dickerson and Rodney McLeod have been activated
Another note: The initial 53-man roster will look a lot different in a few days. The Eagles are sixth in the waiver wire, meaning they will have one of the first shots at some of the best talent that is released.
