Eagles' Lane Johnson might not play vs. Washington

The Eagles could be without starting right tackle Lane Johnson for their season opener on Sunday against Washington.

Eagles head coach Doug Pederson called Johnson, who is dealing with a lower-body injury, “day-to-day” during his press conference on Wednesday morning.

Pederson said that Johnson would be doing individual work. It does not sound like Johnson would be taking part in any team work.

Johnson’s questionable status for Sunday’s game could be why Pederson would not commit to Matt Pryor at his starting right guard earlier this week.

If Johnson can’t play, the Eagles’ starting offensive line could look something like this:

LT: Jason Peters
LG: Isaac Seumalo
C: Jason Kelce
RG: Nate Herbig
RT: Matt Pryor

Even if Johnson does play, at this point it seems pretty clear he won’t be 100% — and that is bad news going against a very good  Washington defensive line.
