New Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Nakobe Dean joined Jon Marks & Ike Reese on Wednesday.

"I'm a high energy player, play with a lot of passion," Dean said Wednesday when asked about what type of player he is. "I get to the ball and the way I play among other things, my physical abilities as far as being a three down linebacker, I bring that winning mindset to the game. I play with a chip on my shoulder and I'm going to continue to do that."

Dean isn't lying, highly regarded as the best player on the nation's best defense in college football last year. Dean recorded 72 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, 6.0 sacks, two interception and a touchdown last season with Georgia.

Dean was expected to go in the first-round of the NFL Draft, but for one reason or another fell to the Eagles in round three. NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reported that Dean refused to have surgery for a pectoral injury he had, but Dean said that is not the case and that he feels good physically.

"During my whole pre draft process nobody has asked me to have surgery," Dean said. "I never was advised to have surgery. The whole thing about me refusing to have surgery really through me off...If I was advised to have surgery, it would be in my best interest to have that surgery. It just didn't make sense to me."
