Jeff McLane joined Angelo Cataldi and the 94WIP Morning Show to discuss his explosive in-depth article detailing Howie Roseman's staying power in the Eagles' organization and the role of owner Jeffrey Lurie for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

McLane talked about Roseman's relationship with big name players, specifically Carson Wentz, as the Eagles GM had fat head posters of Wentz and Fletcher Cox in his office.

"I think it's a little more that Howie loved his moves to get Carson [than Carson himself]," McLane explained to Cataldi on Friday morning. "So much was invested in Carson. Those were dazzling moves. At the time, he just blew the whole NFL away at what he did. And looking back at it, it's still a bold move. I don't think anyone really had that outside the box kind of thinking and he pulled that off. Look again, Carson Wentz did play a factor in them winning the Super Bowl so it's not like this is a black and white thing. That being said, it blew up in his face.

"Howie certainly gives the big guys, the stars, the guys that he's developed relationships with a lot of sway in the building. Too much so, is what I heard from a lot of people. And Carson was certainly one of them. And the story I wrote about Carson in January reflected that as well, with Howie having the fat head posters of Carson and Fletcher Cox in his office. A lot of people kind of blanched at that, saying you can't do that as the GM. Another player walks in and is saying, 'Oh where's my fat head.'"
