Both Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie believe Ross Tucker's ranking of Nick Sirianni as the NFL's fifth best head coach was too high.

Tucker joined the 94WIP Morning Show to defend and explain his ranking.

"Number one, I just did that according to everybody because I'm a homer," Tucker said on Friday. "The thing is it's actually really difficult to rank the coaches, a lot harder than people think, especially because the sample sizes are so different.

"Everybody saying, 'Eagles had a loaded roster I could have coached that team!' Let's go back to 2021 where the owner Jeffrey Lurie called it a transition year. They traded their quarterback, took a 30 million dollar dead cap hit. They were coming off of a four win season—nobody, nobody thought the Eagles were going to make the playoffs that year. And oh by the way, he adjusted midway through the season, changed the offense, let [Shane] Steichen call the plays and they made the playoffs.

"And if you remember last year, nobody was saying before the season that the Eagles had some loaded roster. Their season win total for the sportsbooks was nine and a half wins."

Tucker ranked only Andy Reid, Bill Belichick, Mike Tomlin and Sean Payton ahead of Sirianni, in that order. DeCamara mentioned he was surprised to see John Harbaugh (11th) and Pete Carroll (9th), in particular, ranked behind Sirianni.
