Philadelphia Eagles elite pass rusher Haason Reddick appears to be unhappy with his contract situation.

94WIP's Joe Giglio believes Reddick's displeasure is warranted and that the Eagles should re-do his deal.

"This is something to the effect of a hold in and Hugh, I think the Eagles have an issue on their hands here with Haason Reddick," Giglio said on Wednesday's 94WIP Midday Show with Hugh Douglas. "And I know a lot of people always say, 'Well he signed a contract a year ago, he's got two years left—three years, 45 [million].' The Eagles also could try to keep harmony with a locker room that has a lot of harmony, on a team that is trying to win the Super Bowl. I would give him an extra year, I would re-do his contract."

When asked if he feels he is underpaid, the Camden, NJ native told the media on Tuesday, "Ya'll see it. Ya'll know what's going on."

Reddick signed a three-year deal worth $45 million last offseason with the Eagles as a free-agent and had a monster 2022 campaign, recording 16.0 sacks and five forced fumbles in the regular season, plus another 3.5 sacks and a forced fumble in the playoffs.

The Eagles can easily get out of Reddick's contract after this season if he gets injured or has a down year.

The Cincinnati Bengals faced a similar situation this offseason with defensive end Trey Hendrickson, who like Reddick is 28-years-old coming off a Pro Bowl season. The Bengals gave Hendricks a one-year extension in July, worth $21 million in new money.

Reddick is the 15th highest paid edge rusher in the NFL and last year he had more sacks than anyone in the NFL, when including the postseason.

"I think he's validated in wanting more money, he's definitely validated in wanting more money," Douglas said.

Howard Eskin, who joined the 94WIP Midday Show on Tuesday just moments after Reddick's comments, disagreed, saying Reddick has "no leverage" and if he performs again this season he will get his new contract.

"Play this year, play well and he's going to get another deal. He will get another deal...But they have no leverage. They have none. If they don't play, you hurt yourself with a new contract."
