The Philadelphia Eagles lost both of their coordinators on Tuesday, as offensive coordinator Shane Steichen was named head coach of the Indianapolis Colts and defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon was named head coach of the Arizona Cardinals.
Joe Giglio believes the Eagles will miss Gannon way more than Steichen. He explained why on his Tuesday evening show.
Giglio explained that he's not worried about the offense because of how much talent they have, the quarterback in Jalen Hurts, the offensive weapons, QB coach Brian Johnson and Nick Sirianni's philosophy.
"I just think we let one night, one day dissuade from the big picture. Jonathan Gannon did a good job here for two years," Giglio said. "Is he Buddy Ryan? Is he Jim Johnson? No. Is he going to go down in Philadelphia lure? No, I get it...But Jonathan Gannon did a good job on defense. When he had players they had the number one defense in the NFL by a number of metrics."
