Seth Joyner is taking some heat for being overly critical of the Eagles, the NFL's only undefeated team, after their 20-17 win over the Cardinals on Sunday.
Joyner joined Angelo Cataldi and the 94WIP Morning Show on Monday and was asked if he's worried about his negative reputation.
"I didn't like social media, put a quote in that says the Eagles are going to get embarrassed on Sunday Night Football and they cut the quote off," Joyner explained. "Because what I said in theory was, they're going to get embarrassed on Sunday Night Football if they don't figure out how to get things right, how to pick up blitzes, how to be more aggressive, how to be better on special teams...I'm thinking about that and I remember last year when the Cowboys beat us twice and scored a total of 93 points last year. That defense is formidable. That defense is no joke."
Here is the aforementioned quote and clip of Joyner immediately after the Eagles' win last night. The JAKIB Sports Twitter account cut of Joyner saying, "if they don't figure this out."
"It's hard to be critical when they win a football game, but it's necessary," Joyner said on the JAKIB Sports Show. "I’m happy they’re 5-0… But after what I witnessed the Dallas Cowboys do to the LA Rams today, the Cowboys are going to come in here and embarrass the hell out of them on Sunday Night Football, if they don't figure this out."
