But, if you zoom in, you will some interesting details in the NFL 2022 schedule and one component that is extremely disadvantageous for Philadelphia: Short week road games.

NFL analytical mind Warren Sharp aka Sharp Football dug deep into this year's schedule and some of the decisions the league is making, one of which been how much short week road games each team gets and if it is fair.

The Eagles lead the NFL in short week road games, as discovered by Sharp, with four. Last year no team played more than two.

As you can see in the 2011-2020 column, the Eagles have been among the league leaders in short week road games for years now.

The Cowboys have just one short week road game, which is their first short week road game since 2006!

Furthermore, Dallas plays 5 games this year with more rest than their opponent while the Eagles play just two.

Reading this on a Philadelphia website might seem like it is biased, I understand, but I'm just the messenger here. Sharp is an unbiased analytical source, who did the research for us.

In fairness, Sharp also analyzed the pure strength of 2022 schedules and has the Eagles with the second easiest schedule behind the Giants. The Cowboys have the 10th easiest schedule, according to Sharp.
