Philadelphia Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber announced he will be participating in the 2022 Home Run Derby in the form of an Instagram video he posted Tuesday afternoon.
Schwarber, 29, has an NL leading 28 home runs and 57 RBI in 85 games this season, his first with the Phillies.
This will be Schwarber's second Home Run Derby appearance. In 2018, Schwarber competed against both Rhys Hoskins and Bryce Harper in Washington D.C, losing to Harper in the finals.
That was also the last time the Phillies had a representative in the Home Run Derby.
