The Warriors will have a chance to close out their first round series against the Nuggets at home on Wednesday night at Chase Center.
They had a chance to sweep Denver on the road Sunday but were stifled by foul trouble and turnovers all night. The Athletic’s Anthony Slater joined 95.7 The Game’s “Steiny & Guru” Monday to discuss how Game 4 changed the complexion of the series:
“Could Denver steal a game at Chase? Sure,” Slater told hosts Matt Steinmetz and Daryle “The Guru” Johnson. “Then it gets a lot more threatening. Also, it’s just an extra game of wear and tear on the body and you put any player at risk of a freak injury. When you get a chance to close out, you want to close out. I think, generally, if you're a fan, you shouldn't take (Sunday's) result as some fear that you are gonna lose in the first round.”
