EVs make up “less than 1% of vehicles registered in the state,” Reardon said. “Existing projections indicate an anticipated growth of 5% of overall registered vehicles being electric in Missouri by 2035.”

A new ordinance in St. Louis County says new business owners must have one EV station for every ten parking spots, running some businesses out of the area.

Fitch shares his opinion: “I don’t have any problem with eclectic vehicles…however, I do have a problem with the government saying, we’re going to take money from you and force you to buy electric charging stations across the state or in St. Louis County.”
