ST. CHARLES, MO – A mother in St. Charles is thankful for the kind acts of the first responders that showed up to her house after a kitchen accident Sunday night.
Alicia Watson said she slipped and fell when draining potatoes, and the water fell back onto her legs, according to Fox 2 News. Watson yelled for her kids who then called 911, and she was sent to the hospital with second-degree burns on her legs and feet from the boiling water.
Three firefighters stayed behind, set the table, and finished the pasta dinner of mostaccioli with a side of potatoes for the kids.
