(WWJ) -- Those sky-high gas prices may be coming down over the next few weeks.
Gas Buddy Petroleum analyst Patrick Dehaan predicts that prices could fall to a national average of $4.75 a gallon by July 4, if nothing changes. The current national average for a gallon regular unleaded is $5.
As for Missouri averages, AAA says people are paying an average of $4.67 a gallon, which is down a penny from Thursday's average but still up 20-cents from a week ago.
A year ago today, Missourians were paying $2.76 a gallon.
