
Police in North Carolina have launched an investigation into the death of a man they say was shot and killed following an altercation with a passenger in his vehicle.
The Fayetteville Police Department shared that the shooting occurred at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, when the victim, 30-year-old Terence Hogue, and his passenger got into a fight.
The fight resulted in a firearm being pulled and Hogue being struck by a bullet.
Police were notified and responded to the shooting, but when they arrived, Hogue had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Fayetteville Police Department has not yet released any other details about the man suspected of shooting the firearm, but they did share that the two knew each other.
An investigation into the shooting remains ongoing, and the suspect is still believed to be at large.
