McDonald’s is planning to phase in a series of small improvements to some of its burgers that are designed to appeal to customers.
The changes to the chain’s hamburger, cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, McDouble and signature Big Mac will include using softer buns that are perfectly toasted; ‘perfectly melted’ cheese; and the application of white onions to meat cooking on the grill. Big Macs will have more of the sandwich’s special sauce.
Prices are expected to remain the same with the changes, which will be completely rolled out by 2024 in the U.S.
The changes reported by Crain’s Chicago Business come as Chicago-based McDonald’s is streamlining its corporate structure.
