Former Arnold Missouri Police Chief and Executive Director at Missouri Police Chiefs Association Bob Shockey says every department in the area should be training for mass shooter incidents.
Shockey says law enforcement and school districts need to work together to keep students safe. Working together to navigate shortages in funding and personnel to protect children.
“You know every day when you put that gun and badge on you might not come home at night,” says Shockey.

We are still waiting on the facts to come out from the tragic incident in Uvalde, Texas but coming from generations of law enforcement, Shockey concedes, “we run toward the gunfire when everybody else is running away. That’s what we get paid to do and that’s the job we do.”
