Shooting at 7-Eleven leaves one dead and multiple injured

A shooting at a Maryland 7-Eleven near Washington, D.C., on Saturday night resulted in a man being killed and multiple others being injured, police said.

The Prince George's County Police Department responded to the call of the shooting at 8 p.m., according to a tweet from the department.

Cpl. Unique Jones shared that a man who was struck by a bullet in the shooting was pronounced dead at the hospital, but the department did share how many were injured.

It is also unknown the condition of those who were hospitalized from trauma related to gunshot wounds, the police department said.

The shooting occurred just east of Washington, and the convenience store chain has not responded to a request for comment from multiple news sources.

Police are currently investigating what happened that led to the shooting, according to Jones. He also shared that as of Saturday night, no one had been arrested in connection to the shooting.

"Detectives are on scene attempting to develop a suspect(s) and motive," the department tweeted.
