Wisconsin authorities searching for escaped inmate

Wisconsin sheriff’s deputies are asking for the public’s help in locating an inmate who escaped from the Brown County Jail on Labor Day, according to a release.

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office shared that inmate Justin Dietrich escaped at around 10:20 a.m. on Monday.

The release said that he left the loading dock area of the jail, and headed east through farm fields. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt with a white undershirt and pants.

Dietrich was being held on multiple charges, including manufacture or delivery of amphetamines, possession with intent to deliver amphetamines, possession of methamphetamine, fraud, and others.

Dietrich was serving a probation sentence until Dec. 19, 2022, for domestic violence disorderly conduct, the release said.

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office is also looking for information on Dietrich’s girlfriend. The release notes Dietrich’s residence is on CTH JJ in Wausaukee.

The sheriff’s office shared that “he is not known to be armed or an immediate danger to the community.”
