We’ve all experienced an issue with our banks before, right?  We can guarantee you’ve never experienced a mistake of this magnitude like this woman in New Jersey, though.

Last Friday morning, Patricia Conlon checked her bank balance which prompted an immediate call to Chase; she found her bank account had been overdrawn…by $100 BILLION!

Conlon told News 12, “I saw that there was a number there - negative $99,999,999,099.99,” Conlon says. “I was stunned, needless to say.”

The widow spent the next few hours trying to figure out just what wrong, until one Chase employee found the issue may have lied with her late husband, who passed away just two months ago.

A spokesperson with Chase Bank explained that holds are placed on accounts of deceased customers until they can speak to the family or surviving relatives.

The bank eventually did fix the $99 billion overdraft within a few hours.

The Chase spokesperson also said the company will continue to investigate what led to the incident.
