The Illinois gubernatorial race is heating up and polls are showing a narrowing gap between incumbent J.B. Pritzker and GOP challenger Darren Bailey. Part of the reason for this tightening of the polls is Pritzker's heavy-handed COVID response. Now that the CDC has recommended the COVID vaccine as part of children's vaccination schedule many are worried that Governors like Pritzker will require the vaccine to enroll at Illinois Schools. Bailey pledged that he would not require this vaccine if elected.
"We will have no mandates at all in Illinois, this is nonsense. We are a free country and we are a free state," said Bailey.
If Darren Bailey hopes to win Illinois he has to win over voters in Chicago. Bailey shared what he is hearing from voters in Chicago and why he believes that he can earn their votes. He said that soaring crime rates are making Chicago voters receptive to his message. To hear the full interview listen to the audio above or the podcast.
