Former Missouri State Senator John Lamping says the race to replace retiring Senator Roy Blunt has tightened-up in recent weeks.
"It's clearly a three-person race, they're all bunched together between 20 and 25 percent," says Lamping. "[Eric] Schmitt's poll had him at 25, I think Vicky's [Hartzler] had her at 26, [Eric] Greitens was mid to high 20s, now he's low 20s on all these polls."
"It is surprising that neither Vicky nor Schmitt have taken a true lead. When you're up two or three points and the margin of error is 5, no one is really in the lead, no one is really in third place, you're all together," continued Lamping.
A recent reprimand of St Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner might play into account in some upcoming polling in the race says Lamping.
"The Gardner outcome was an opportunity for Greitens to make some noise to kind of pull himself out of the pothole that he's in right now," says Lamping.
