Recreational use of Marijuana on November ballot in Missouri

Missouri Governor Mike Parson joined the Mark Reardon Show to discuss the legalization of recreational marijuana use for Missouri citizens over the age of 21 campaign to appear on the November ballot.

“Right now I don’t think is the best timing, homicide is at a record high, mental health issues, suicides are up high in the state, I’m not sure another substance right now is the right thing to do. But if the people of Missouri want to legalize marijuana, make it simple,” said Governor Parson.

If passed, medical and recreational marijuana use could be available this year. Currently, 19 states have legalized recreational use, and two other states, South Dakota and Maryland have the issue on their ballots as well.
