Karsch and Anderson: Are odds increasing that Will Anderson falls to Lions?

Earlier this month, ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. sent Will Anderson to the Lions with the sixth overall pick in his latest mock. On Monday, three days before the draft, NBC Sports' Peter King did the same thing. Are the odds increasing that Anderson, widely considered the top defensive player on the board, will fall to Detroit at No. 6?

In King's mock, Texas Tech defensive end Tyree Wilson goes No. 2 to Houston and Georgia defensive tackle Jalen Carter goes No. 5 to Seattle. In Kiper's, four quarterbacks go in the first four picks and Carter goes to Seattle. Maybe there's an actual chance that Anderson, who recently visited with Detroit, lands in the Lions' lap, says Doug Karsch:

"I hear people saying that Tyree Wilson is turning into this year's Travon Walker, the player that has all this upside that everybody's like, it's projectable. Could the Lions benefit back-to-back years from a projectable edge rusher getting the nod over the edge rusher with all the production at the collegiate level? According to Peter King, yes."

Aidan Hutchinson fell to the Lions at No. 2 last year after the Jaguars took Travon Walker No. 1. Gator doesn't see something similar happening this year with Anderson:

"Four quarterbacks going in the first four picks, I get it, with teams trading up. But the whole Tyree Wilson over Will Anderson thing, I know that's getting some love, it doesn't make any sense to me."

"It's ridiculous!" Gator went on. "To think that Will Anderson is going to be there at 6, c'mon! I will slam the beer right out of the boot if the Lions draft Will Anderson at 6. You want me to chug it out of the dog dish instead? I'll do it. Because he's not going to be there at 6!"

Only three more days 'till we find out.
