Looking to snap a four-game skid, the Detroit Tigers fell to the Philadelphia Phillies 1-0 Tuesday evening.
The lone run for the Phillies came via a Kyle Schwarber leadoff homer in the first inning off Tyler Alexander.
Alexander settled down and pitched three strong innings, and the bullpen took over from there. Jose Cisnero, Tyler Holton and Will Vest held the Phillies to two hits the rest of the night.
Akil Baddoo did make a highlight catch in left for the Tigers, who fell to 26-33 and four games behind the first-place Twins.
The Tigers finish their three-game series with the Phillies Wednesday night at 6:05 PM. The game can be heard on 97.1 The Ticket.
