On an episode of Wheel of Fortune last week, a contestant named Alexa, who attends Texas Women’s University in Denton, made it to the bonus round for the chance to win some extra cash, but unfortunately came up just a bit short.
However, fans agree that Alexa did shout out the correct answer in time, but host Pat Sajak failed to hear her answer, costing her the prize.

The category was “What Are You Doing,” and after Alexa chose her letters, Vanna White flipped the board around to reveal: “__ST _IN_IN_ IT."
Alexa shouted out a variety of answers, though many believe her first guess was “Just Winging It,” which ended up being the correct answer. Many in the audience thought she had guessed correctly as well, and rained Sajak with boos after he announced Alexa did not guess correctly.
When Sajak opened the envelope to reveal how much was on the line, Alexa’s face says it all when the card read “$100,000.”
Many viewers have called for Sajak and Wheel of Fortune to award Alexa the prize, as they believe she was robbed of the $100,000.
One person tweeted, “I agree that she said the right answer I think they cheated her," and another added, “She said it!!!!" a fan insisted. "Looks like Pat started to say 'Say it again' but stopped. You can tell she is confused it wasn’t right. And her final expression when it was revealed was 'Wait I said that.'"
However, some believe Alexa said “Just Winning It.”
One viewer wrote, “She said just winning it. Stop lying to yourselves and being mad for no reason. It was fair.”
