Planning a wedding is no small feat and incredibly stressful, so it’s always nice for the bride and groom to have some extra help along the way.
However, the groom in this case seems to have misinterpreted the word “help” into letting his mother decided the wedding of her own dreams.

It all came to a head after the man called his fiancée "immature" because she refused to allow his mother to choose her makeup and wedding dress.

The upcoming bride explained in her post on Reddit that her fiancé comes from a “conservative family and his mom has been up in the wedding planning posing a ‘supervisor’ to oversee and to ‘catch & elminiate (sic)’ anything that could be seen as ‘offensive.’”
The woman and her future MIL had a blow-up over several suggested makeup choices, that the bride would never wear as the models had “no eyeshadow, no glowly lipstick just...plain.”
The woman’s future husband accused her of wanting to “humiliate” him and his family by showing up to their wedding “looking like a clown.”
The woman was wondering if she was in the wrong for telling her fiancé he was “delusional” if he thought he would let his mom dictate what she would or wouldn’t wear at her own wedding, and most of the commentors agreed with her.
