You know, this woman should’ve known some trickery was afoot when the SECOND richest man in the world was asking for money.

But alas, Florida charter school principal Dr. Janet McGee recently resigned from her position after it was revealed that she sent scammers posing as the Tesla CEO $100,000 in school funds.

According to ClickOrlando.com, it wasn’t the only issue parents and teachers had with Dr. McGee, and cheers rang through the crowd when she announced her resignation.

School board chairman Albert Amalfitano said McGee thought she was communicating with Musk months before she wrote the $100,000 check.  “That money was supposed to be going to this guy who she thought was Elon Musk, and in exchange, somehow (the) $100,000 (gets) you $6 million,” he said.

A copy of the check that was made out to who McGee thought was Musk’s right-hand man showed the memo reading “matching funds.”

Amalfitano believes McGee may have thought Musk was interested in investing $6 million into the school’s space program.
