Giants rookie quarterback Daniel Jones is dealing with a moderate high-ankle sprain and it's "very likely" Eli Manning will start under center at Philadelphia on Monday night, coach Pat Shurmur said Wednesday.
If the Giants had to play a game Wednesday, Jones, who is wearing a walking boot on his right foot and not practicing, would not be able to play, Shurmur said.
Jones suffered the injury during the Giants' 31-13 loss to the Packers on Sunday.
Jones took over the Giants' starting QB job from Manning after Week 2. He has passed for 2,374 yards with 18 touchdowns and 11 interceptions this season while completing 61.6% of his passes.
The Giants are 2-9 and have lost seven straight.
