B101's 2024 Christmas Choir Competition is underway! Here are important dates you need to know regarding our winner announcements.
K-8 Division: Sponsored by Hatfield
Our K-8 Semifinalist announcement will take place on-air and on our social media platforms (@B101Philly) on Wednesday, November 27th in the 7:00 AM hour. The voting portion takes place Monday, December 2nd through Thursday, December 5th at B101Philly.com. Our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner announcements will take place on Friday, December 6th in the 7:00 AM hour.
9-12 Division: Sponsored by Verizon
Our 9-12 Semifinalist announcement will take place on-air and on our social media platforms (@B101Philly) on Friday, December 6th in the 7:00 AM hour, after our K-8 Division winner announcement. The voting portion takes place Monday, December 9 through Thursday, December 12 at B101Philly.com. Our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner announcements will take place on Friday, December 13th in the 7:00 AM hour.
First place winners in both divisions will have their choir's song featured on B101 throughout the holidays and the school's music program will win a cash prize of FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS! Plus, the choirs will be invited to perform their winning song during the Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s The Lost Christmas Eve Tour at the Wells Fargo Center on December 22, 2024 3pm show.
Second place winners in each division receive a $2,000 cash prize and third place winners receive a $1,000 cash prize - all to benefit their school music programs.
