Two-way Colorado football star Travis Hunter stands atop BetMGM’s Heisman Trophy Winner odds board heading into Week 12. After opening at +3500, he’s now +100 to win the award, ahead of Oregon QB Dillon Gabriel (+350), Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty (+400) and Miami QB Cam Ward (+850).

Hunter has attracted 17.1% of the tickets and 30.6% of the handle in the market and is therefore BetMGM’s biggest liability.

The WR/CB has been a standout at both of his positions this year for the 7-2 Buffs, recording 69 catches for 856 yards and five touchdowns as a receiver along with 20 tackles, two interceptions and a forced fumble on the defensive end while stifling his opponents. Opposing teams have consistently avoided throwing the ball his way at corner and PFF grades him inside the top five at both wide receiver (5th) and cornerback (3rd).

With matchups against Utah, Kansas and Oklahoma State incoming, #20 Colorado can very realistically go 10-2 and earn their way into the College Football Playoff conversation and that’d be in huge part due to the production of their two-way star. He’s the Shohei Ohtani of college football!

Jeanty (+400) is on pace to have over 2,500 rushing yards and around 35 touchdowns by the end of the season and has matchups against San Jose State, Wyoming and Oregon State to end the year. In my opinion, he is going to be the contender that has real potential to take Hunter down, especially if he breaks Barry Sanders’ rushing record. If you think he will, now’s the time to get in on Jeanty. Hunter is the clear favorite heading into Week 12, though.
