2025 NFL Draft: Cameron Ward New Favorite to Go First Overall

Miami Hurricanes QB emerges as the top prospect for the Tennessee Titans with the No. 1 pick.

As the 2024 NFL regular season came to a close, 14 teams advanced to the playoffs while 18 teams advanced to the offseason with the hopes of improving. One way that can happen is through the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft, where the Tennessee Titans will call the first name.

Heading into Week 18, the New England Patriots held the No. 1 overall pick, but lost it when they beat the Buffalo Bills. (Sorry for mentioning that, Pats fans.)

As a result, FanDuel is listing former Miami Hurricanes QB Cameron Ward as the betting favorite to hear his name called by the Titans, who will almost assuredly move on from Will Levis.

Ward has been linked to Tennessee since his season ended, with numerous reports stating that the organization has him ranked above former Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders and teammate WR/CB Travis Hunter, who won the Heisman Trophy.

Ward threw for 4,313 yards, 39 touchdowns and seven interceptions with a 67.2% completion rate for the Hurricanes this past season and over his five collegiate seasons for Incarnate Word, Washington State and Miami, he amassed 18,187 yards, 158 touchdown passes, 37 interceptions and 20 rushing touchdowns as one of the best NCAA quarterbacks in recent memory.

Tennessee averaged just 18.3 points per game (6th-fewest in the NFL) and Will Levis and Mason Rudolph averaged just 195.1 passing yards per game (7th-fewest).

There’s a lot of time between now and April’s draft, but right now, the Titans and Ward are clearly linked.
