Active-duty service members, veterans and military spouses looking for an assist in their search for employment can take part in a free virtual employee readiness workshop later this month.
Hope For The Warriors will present the first of three Employee Readiness Workshops on March 29 from noon to 1 p.m. EST.
“The Employment Readiness Workshops were a great addition during the onset of the pandemic,” said Robin Kelleher, co-founder and president/CEO of Hope For The Warriors. “Many service members transitioning had never experienced a virtual work environment, and we were honored to walk them through that journey. Much like military life, the civilian job force is every changing, and we hope to assist service members, veterans, and military spouses through these changes.”

Part of the non-profit’s Warrior’s Compass transition program, the workshop series provides training to help prepare those in the military in their search for a job in the civilian sector.
Presenters for the workshop later this month include Richard Deosingh from Robert Half Talent Solutions, who will provide information about the organization and share insider tips for getting hired. Recruiting and human resources experts from Navy Federal Credit Union will also provide transition tips.

The webinar and its presenters will cover topics such as resume revision, in-person, and virtual interview training, online networking, and open dialogue surrounding military to civilian skillset translation.
The workshop will also offer tools, tips, and opportunities for participants to network with other service members, military spouses, and companies committed to hiring those with military backgrounds.
