Dozens of people were visiting Britain’s highest altitude pub, and ended up being stuck for three days after a blizzard cut them off from the rest of civilization, KTVI reports.
Sixty-one people woke up on day three at Yorkshire Dales Tan Hill Inn. The visitors weren’t able to leave since Friday when the storm brought heavy winds and snow which blocked roads and destroyed power lines.
Manager Nicola Townsend said that everyone ended up getting together and watched movies, did karaoke, and had trivia contests. All the patrons were also treated to Noasis, an Oasis cover band, which was stuck after performing on Friday evening.
Townsend said that all the guests were in good spirits.
“They’ve formed quite a friendship, like a big family is the best way I can describe it. One lady actually said ‘I don’t want to leave,’” she said.
